Key Parameters

Suggested Roast: Light to Dark Roast - highly adaptable!

Grind Size: Medium-Fine (similar to table salt, adjust to taste and method)

Temp Tip: Experiment! AeroPress is forgiving.

Method

  1. Heat water to desired temperature.
  2. Assemble AeroPress in standard or inverted position.
  3. Add ground coffee to the chamber.
  4. Add hot water, ensuring all grounds are saturated.
  5. Stir gently for about 10 seconds (optional).
  6. Insert plunger and press gently and steadily for 20-30 seconds.
  7. Dilute with hot water or milk if making a concentrate.

Tips & Tricks

  • Rinse paper filter to remove papery taste.
  • For a cleaner cup, use two paper filters.
  • Try the 'inverted' method for a full immersion brew with no initial drip-through (search for AeroPress Inverted).
  • Experiment with bypass brewing: use less water for concentrate, then dilute. This can highlight different flavors.
